What are RSS Feeds?

Feeds allow you to view new website content, as soon as it is made available, without having to visit the site.

RSS 2.0 (Really Simple Syndication) is a web content syndication format, made readable by the use of a software application, a feed reader.

How do I start using feeds?

Firstly you need a feed reader. A feed reader is a software application that checks feeds you are subscribed to and lets you read any new or updated items that have been added. Some Internet Browsers are capable of emulating a feed reader and numerous downloadable feed reader applications are available.

Feed Readers Demystified

Browser-based feed readers improve accessibility to RSS feeds, giving the ability to subscribe to the feed from any computer without the need to download a dedicated feed reading application, however a dedicated feed reader downloads the feed contents the same way you would your emails with Microsoft Outlook, enabling offline access to a copy of the feed at a later date.

Secondly you have to decide what website content you would like to receive. Our website content available for subscription displays the orange RSS icon. If you click 'subscribe' next to the RSS button the data feed will open in your chosen feed reader, were you will have the option to subscribe to receive feed updates in the future.

How do I get a feed reader?

Due to RSS Feeds being a relatively new technology, there are many feed readers available, each with their advantages and disadvantages. Here is a small selection to help you get up and running.

Is it possible to filter single product categories in the Product Feed?
At this present time, no. Updates to the Product Feed or additional feeds may be made available in the future to support this.
